As promised, the CBO has come out with its more detailed look at the financial implications of the immigration bill. The CBO's bottom line is that the bill will have "a relatively small net effect on the federal budget balance...since additional expenditures would be mostly offset by additional revenue." Based on what's going on in the Senate today, the prospects for the bill may not be that great, anyway.
