Lyndon State College "The United States has amassed nearly $10 trillion in federal debt and about $50 trillion in unfunded liabilities — all at a time when our nation faces a deepening financial and economic crisis. With health-care costs rapidly rising and 78 million baby boomers about to retire, straining our Social Security and Medicare systems, our country faces severe long-term fiscal challenges, which could lead to steep tax hikes, major cutbacks in federal spending, higher interest rates, inflation and a declining economy — not to mention an unsustainable path for our children and grandchildren. Changing Expectations
»A new report finds the main problem in getting the public to deal with our fiscal problems isn't opposition to tax increases or spending cuts -- it's their lack of trust in the government to spend their money wisely. |

Teelah,
Great job!! I enjoyed the song very much!! It actually amazed me that so many people thought it didn't concern them and/or they didn't really know or care that much about it! I'm glad you made this, it encourages people to make a differance and take the lead in changing things!!

Hey Teelah,
Wow! Awesome Job on your video. I really liked the statistics on national debt. I lalso ike that you created a song to go along with your video on national debt. Your graphs were really nice, and it really made me think about our society, and how each and everyone of us is being effected by this financial crises. The video was very inspiring. Great Work!

Re: National Debt
National debt has been a big issue. $60 trillion is not a joke especially for the younger generation. Could we imagine what will happen with that amount of debt 10 years from now? Worse if our economy won’t bounce back and improve the economic situation. Maybe all of us need professional help. Even our government leaders need Debt Counseling. If you have a high debt to income ratio, some debt counseling would do you well, as well as laying off the credit cards. If your debt problems stem from a mortgage or personal loans for housing, then loan modification through the federal program might be what you're looking for. If you qualify for the program, then it would be in your best interest to file sooner rather than later, so you could avoid foreclosure. If you are struggling with debt, and don't know what to do, you might look into debt counseling.
Re: National Debt
Right! That article is not new to us. So I guess payday loan is an effective one to formulate as an aid to the economic crisis. Are you familiar to Sean Miller? He is a lucky guy. He is one of the youngest coaches in NCAA basketball, and after he led Xavier University to two Elite 8 appearances and one sweet 16 in five seasons, he's sought after. That's why the University of Arizona recruited Sean Miller to coach the Arizona Wildcats, and he won't ever need a payday loan again. He's getting $18 million, signing bonus $1 million, for 7 years. He apparently will never be known for his amicability towards his players, as most found out about him leaving through the media. Still, you'll never hear of a payday loan being asked for by Sean Miller.
